What does it mean to be a STEM teacher? To me, being a STEM teacher means sharing deeper understanding of the natural world with others. I want to teach stewardship and life skills and make connections to other disciplines and real life. Some of the things that particularly excite me about being a teacher are experiential learning and multidisciplinary learning. Going on field trips, learning how to do things from actually doing them, and incorporating knowledge from other classes is what makes STEM classes (or really any classes, in my opinion) fun and challenging.
