I believe we are all born little scientists. It is through experimentation and observation that we learn everything we do. As a STEM teacher, I am responsible for growing the scientist within each student. I can do that by creating a safe space for learning and showing students the importance of science. By connecting the material to their daily lives in a way that is relevant to them, I can cultivate that little scientist and engage them more effectively. By providing them a safe learning environment, I can show them how "to science" in authentic and meaningful ways. As a STEM teacher, I will encourage students to question their world and see it through a scientific lens so that they may continue to observe and experiment throughout their entire lives.
