Feedback is an essential part of our life, not only in classrooms. We as people need to improve ourselves using the feedback from our community or who are around us.
As teachers, we need to be sure about the quality of the feedback we may give our students and how it may help them improve their learning to meet the objectives we teach. We also need to be sure about the instructions that we give our students and how clear they are, so when they answer the questions, they have enough knowledge or expect what they need to explain or answer.
The feedback sometimes does not give the results we look for if we do not know how to use it. It may also provide an opposite reaction if the students do not get the right message.
Feedback can be different. It could be brief and just show how the students perform or something that can tell if the answer is wrong or right. While other times it should be in more detail to help students dig deep and think to figure out whether they have to go into more information, finish answers, or explain, for example.
