Hi folks. Welcome to our first Blog. I want to give you some ideas on how you can start blogging in Ghost. This will be a learning experience for all of us. You can be as creative as you'd like. If any questions come up, send me an email. I hope this is a great reflective / learning tool and something we can think about using in our own classrooms.
Here is an intro video on how to blog. I will follow it up below with step-by-step directions.
Here is the STME website we will be posting to. It is pretty barebones for ease of use: STME.cu.studio
In order to write a new post, you need to go here (to stme.cu.studio/ghost)
If you want some resources on starting to create a post, navigate to Getting Started in the top-right menu, you will get a few pages on how to do so.
You will get an invitation via email to set up your account for my page. Sign up and below are some steps on how to create your first post. Once you have logged in.
1. Click on the + to create your post.
2. You will be sent to a page like this. This is your canvas! You can click on Post Title to type the title of your post. click on "Begin writing your post" to start writing on the body. I
3. If you click on the + with a circle around it, you get a bunch of options to insert media into your post. None of this is mandatory, just some fun stuff to play with eventually - when/if you are ready.
4. Changing Settings - *Important* - Click on the Cog in the upper right-hand corner.
5. These are your options:
- the Upload Post Image will allow you to add a picture to the banner of your post.
- the Tag is really important. Each week you will tag your post and it will send to a certain page. The tag you will choose for Week 1 is: Module 1 - Identity.
6. Lastly, click on publish, and then click on publish again (no need to schedule it)
You did it! Nice work.
