What does it mean to be a STEM teacher?

...the ability to teach the world to a child.

Being a STEM teacher means creating and sprouting a child's curiosity in the world around them; pushing their limits and expanding their minds through complex and convoluted subjects.

To be a science teacher, success doesn't stop with one final, correct answer; success is when a student asks a new question. Learning should never stop at one answer but should continue with a cycle and chain reaction of different ideas.

I want my students to understand what's happening in the world when they step outside, and how they're affected. STEM is intimidating, and many students will already have given up before attending the class. But I chose STEM because I want more students to realize that everything is intertwined, and if they understand one part, they'll surely be able to understand the next. STEM is so broad; there's so many different areas/topics to explore. Think about the different specialties in being a doctor alone: general health, optometrist, cardiologist, gynecologist... Or the different types of engineers. It just takes enough curiosity in one student for there to be a new discovery, a new invention, a new concept.
